Hello, Brothers:
The purpose of this message is to let you know that I am planning another reunion class group ’65–’71 on the weekend of November 14. We need to get together while we still can. The plan would be similar as before, including:
- Friday night banquet dinner at the Carolina Club on Stadium Drive on Friday November 13.
- Saturday pregame (breakfast or brunch) and post-game activities at the Lodge and a group dinner at 411 West Italian Restaurant on Franklin Street.
- Saturday, November 14, Louisville* Kenan Stadium: we will plan to get block tickets to the game, if we can (?).
- Sunday drop-in breakfast somewhere TBD.
The athletic department might have changed their policies and/or pricing, so we will do what we can and let you know. Last year, I had to get my personal tickets from Seat Geek and could not go directly to the UNC athletic department. The athletic department has advised us to check back in the middle of April. If we cannot get block tickets, the options will be to get game tickets individually or just to watch the game together on our BRBH large-screen TV at the lodge.
The cost per person or couple depends on how many will plan to attend: primarily the banquet dinner on Friday night.
November 14 is the best weekend for us, given the schedule for home games and the fact several people cannot attend the 24th or 31st (Halloween, when many spooks like to be home).
What I need from you: please let me know ASAP if you would like to plan to come and, if so, how many (would it be only you or you and a spouse or others?).
Note that the official Homecoming weekend date will not be announced until late Q2, but we cannot wait that late to secure venues, so I will have to choose in advance, based on your input.
