Delta Advocates is a peer-led course on sexual assault prevention, active bystander intervention, and men’s mental health. It gives Brothers practical tools to recognize harm, step in safely, and look out for one another. It also makes room for honest conversations that young men often don’t get the chance to have.
The goal of Delta Advocates is to make Brothers actively aware of sexual assault and related crimes, including how they happen, how to prevent them, and how to respond when they see warning signs. Just as important, the program works to form potential new members into gentlemen who carry those lessons beyond the Lodge and into the rest of their lives. The program was started 10 years ago and is a required part of new member education, so every Brother who joins the Lodge goes through it.
At Alpha Sigma, Delta Advocates is led by Brothers Beau Toups and William Land. Over 10 weeks, each incoming class works through the material together and builds a foundation for the kind of Brothers they will become.
