This summer I interned with Bank of America in Washington, D.C. I was a wealth management intern within the Private Bank. The summer scholarship helped me create an initiative within my intern cohort to start a financial literacy program for underprivileged schools in the D.C. area. With the knowledge I gained this summer, coupled with the generosity from the Alpha Sigma Foundation, I was able to create a financial literacy packet aimed at middle schoolers to start their financial journey earlier and to become more responsible than they otherwise would have. Upon graduation, I plan to return to Bank of America and start to spread this initiative to other private bank offices countrywide.
