Tommy Tygart ’29
This summer, I have the opportunity to be working for American Continental Group Advocacy in Washington, DC. ACG Advocacy is a lobbying group that represents numerous organizations and business types, including corporations, nonprofits, and coalitions. Entering my third week at ACG, I have had the chance to interact with various clients, including two nonprofit ones. With the Alpha Sigma Foundation funding, I have been developing materials and reaching out to members in preparation for CEF’s Capitol Hill day in support for expanded education funding on July 15. I have also been assisting the Peregrine Fund in their investigation to secure a land swap to provide a better environment for birds of prey. Overall, I am extremely grateful for the Foundation’s support of my interest in nonprofit institutions and work at ACG Advocacy this summer!
